"There is no arguing with
the pretenders to a divine knowledge and to a divine mission. They are possessed with the
sin of pride, they have yielded to the perennial temptation. Once in a very great while, one finds a religious leader from a 'mainstream' church voicing an objection to Freemasonry but the usual opposition comes from those who are self-ordained 'preachers' who've established 'ministries' and are looking for that 'hook' to attract new members. Many give themselves the mantle of 'Reverend' and proceed with their message of hate, often far, far removed from the gentle and loving principles of the Christianity with which most claim an affiliation. Some of these self-anointed religious leaders may even boast religious credentials from some college. In our travels, we've come across several mail-order ones but one day while sightseeing, found the actual headquarters of the "Kingdom Identity Evangelical College" whose prominent sign is shown here. While persons of faith would certainly agree that some are filled with the Holy Spirit and truly inspired by God, is the "preacher" who's speaking against Freemasonry really one of those - or will he be gone with both the Sunday offering and the wife of a parishioner at this time next year? Freemasonry has existed for over 300 years and during that time, many religious leaders have felt it appropriate to become part of the fraternity, finding no conflict between the teachings of their faith and the teachings of the Fraternity. So very often, though, the 'preachers' who criticize Freemasonry ostensibly on religious grounds actually have scant (or NO) legitimate religious training. Their claims of educational degrees from a Bible College regularly turn out to be something other than what most people would imagine. These photos show one example.... So before you accept as 'gospel' the defamation of a 'preacher', ask about his credentials - and then CHECK THEM OUT! With so many religious leaders over the past 300 years having been attracted to Freemasonry, do a reality check! Why is YOUR preacher against it - unless there's some other motivation....
